A staged trailer is dropped at your facility and stays there as extended storage — you load at your own pace, then we swap it for an empty when it's full. A live load means the tractor arrives on a scheduled window, your team loads it during that visit, and the driver departs the same day. Staged trailers are best for high-volume generators with yard space; live loads work for facilities with limited yard but a predictable loading crew.

Staged trailers typically remain on-site until full, then are swapped on demand. Most customers fill a trailer in one to four weeks, depending on volume. Loop's pricing accommodates standard staging without separate demurrage charges, but extended idle periods (months without filling) may be discussed with your account rep to keep equipment in rotation.

LTL is available but uncommon in recycling because freight cost on a partial load typically erases the rebate value of the material. For volumes that don't fill a full 53' trailer, our box truck service (24' straight truck, live load) is almost always the more cost-effective option. Trailer service is dock-height only — the 53' van trailer requires a standard loading dock with bumpers and a leveler. For ground-level pickups, we use roll-off containers (winch-loaded ground-level boxes) or bale route flatbeds (with a forklift ramp).
